This morning, out of an abundance of caution, Martinez School was briefly put on lockdown due to police activity in the neighborhood. The lockdown was lifted after about five minutes. All students and staff are safe.

All schools will be OPEN on Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23. We look forward to welcoming our students for the final days of the school year after Juneteenth.

There were reports today that ICE was in the surrounding neighborhood of our school. John S. Martinez is following all New Haven Public Schools protocols and safety measures.
